Increasing environmental pollution after the use of fossil fuels has increased the need for renewable energy, especially in the construction sector, which accounts for more than 40 percent of the country's total energy consumption in recent years. Without a doubt, energy is one of the most challenging issues of the current century. Due to population growth and decreasing renewable energy resources, human need for new resources and energy supply methods is increasing. After this article, different new energy types and the concept of sustainable development, various methods to provide clean and renewable energy are discussed and the most important of these is the application in architecture; Finally, I will introduce a smart building model with a sustainable development approach as a good example of such buildings based on renewable energy use.
