Abstract

This research was carried out for three years with 8 different alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) genotypes in the research area of Dicle University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops in 2017-2019. No observations were made in the first year of the study. According to the two-year average results, crude protein (CP) 23.13-24.84%, acid detergent fiber (ADF) 16.99-19.72%, neutral detergent fiber (NDF) 30.43%-33.36%, %, acid detergent protein (ADP) 0.725-0.388%, dry matter (DM) 30.43%-33.36%, digestible dry matter (DDM) 73.54%-75.67%, dry matter intake (DMI) 3.60-4.01%, relative feed value (RFV) 205.3-235.2, potassium (K) 2.047-2.357%, calcium (Ca) 1.545-1.777%, magnesium (Mg) 0.298-0.328%, phosphorus (P) 0.385-0.408%, Ca/P 3.872-4.595 and K/(Ca+ Mg) 0.928-1.244 were obtained. As a result; when genotypes were examined in terms of quality standards, it was determined that all of them were in the best quality group (prime) and there was no statistical difference between genotypes in terms of important quality features such as CP, ADF, NDF, DDM, DMI and RFV.
