Abstract

The concept of sustainability has emerged with increasingly wear off the ecological balance in the world, climatic changes and depleted energy sources. the sector that harms the environment the most is the construction sector which was needed to have many studies with this concept. after these studies, green building designs have been created , which aim to give minimum damage to the environment instead of the design of the sustainability concept. Although green building studies continue to be carried out with various opinions and in the light of laws all over the world, there are some kinds of certificates that operates with serious processes and have significant prerequisites. Leed certificate, which is adopted by many countries in the world and could be found some examples of it in Turkey, were explained by its subunits of scoring. Mall of Istanbul project that has Gold Leed certificate and located in İstanbul, has been analyzed well over the earned scores.
