Abstract

Fossil fuels cause both greenhouse gases and global warming due to the harmful emissions they contain. Global warming causes climate changes, melting of glaciers, increase in water level in the oceans, and increase in water levels cause many settlements to be flooded. Therefore, additives that reduce performance and emissions are added to the fuels used in internal combustion engines. In this study, mixed fuels called  EB10, EB20, EB30 were obtained by increasing the amount of ethanol added to the gasoline fuel at certain rates. Compared to gasoline fuel, harmful exhaust emissions, CO emissions decreased by 11.89%, decreased by 8.44% and increased by 5.64%, respectively. In HC emission, on the other hand, 2.60% decrease, 5.94% decrease, 3.69% increase, CO2 emission, 3.95% increase, 3.50% increase, 1.99% decrease occurred. Engine torques of EB10, EB20, EB30 blended fuels increased by 1.05%, 080%, 3.11%, respectively, while engine powers decreased by 2.23%, increased by 0.21% and increased by 3.75%, respectively.
