Abstract

This study was carried out in order to determination boron contents of soils in Van Lake Basin. For this aim analyses were done on the soil samples taken from big soil groups in the research area. According to analyses results boron contents were high level in some soil groups having regosol, alluvial, kolluvial, hydromorphic soils. The minimum boron contents were obtained as 0.5 mgkg-1, 0.45 mgkg-1, 0.38 mgkg-1, 0.78 mgkg-1, 1.80 mgkg-1, 2.00 mgkg-1, 1.93 mgkg-1 and 0.73 mgkg-1 while the maximum boron contents were 2.10 mgkg-1, 2.68 mgkg-1, 0.60 mgkg-1, 2.60 mgkg-1, 4.15, mgkg-1, 4.10 mgkg-1, 3.33 mgkg-1, 4.08 mgkg1, in Reddish Brown, Non-Chalky Brown, Non-Chalky Brown Forest, Brown, Regosol, Alluvial, Kolluvial and Hydromorphic big soil groups respectively.
