The research was carried out in the experimental area of the Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University, in order to determine the effects of different seeding rates (6, 8, 10 and 12 kg/da) on some yield and quality characteristics of sainfoin. The experiment was arranged in a randomized block design with three replications. In the study, plant height, stem thickness, fresh and hay yield, crude protein rate and yield, crude ash rate, ADF, NDF were investigated. According to the results obtained in the study, it was concluded that 12 kg/da seeding rate should be used for high hay yield and forage quality in sainfoin cultivation in Aegean Region and similar ecological conditions.
